Gosset's philosophy is reflected in its traditional and precise winemaking methods. Here, malolactic fermentation is deliberately avoided in order to preserve the original fruity aromas and ensure remarkable aging potential. This cuvée rested on lees for over 15 years before continuing its journey in the cellar, reaching a state of harmonious maturity.
The Gosset 15 Years Old cuvée combines two iconic grape varieties:
This balance between power and finesse is the hallmark of the Gosset style and gives this champagne exceptional aging potential.
The grands crus of the Côte des Blancs (Mesnil-sur-Oger, Cramant) infuse their crystalline brilliance, while the terroirs of the Montagne de Reims and the Vallée de la Marne (Ambonnay, Aÿ, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ) mark the wine with their density and fruity intensity. This alchemy gives the champagne a mineral base and a rare length.
Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats, guaranteeing purity and aromatic precision. Long aging on lees in Gosset's deep cellars allows the wine to develop slowly, protected from oxidation. The dosage, discreet and measured, highlights the wine's natural balance without masking its fruity structure.
The color of Cave Gosset's 15-year-old cuvée is a deep golden yellow with brilliant highlights. The effervescence, of great finesse, forms a persistent cordon that is the sign of long, controlled aging.
The nose first reveals ripe yellow fruits, followed by hints of biscuit andsweet spices. With aeration, notes of dried fruit and a touch of toast complete a rich and indulgent palette.
The attack is frank and lively. The full-bodied palate develops fruity flavors supported by an assertive vinosity. The long and persistent finish ends with a dazzling freshness, faithful to the spirit of Gosset.
Store this cuvée in a dark cellar at a stable temperature of 10-12°C and 70% humidity. The bottle should be stored horizontally so that the cork remains airtight and preserves the bubbles.
Thanks to its extended aging andthe absence of malolactic fermentation, this champagne can continue to evolve favorably until 2030 or even beyond, depending on your cellar conditions. From 2025 to 2028, the profile will remain centered on yellow fruits, biscuit, and a distinct tension. Between 2028 and 2033, the palette will gain depth: dried fruit, light honey, fine brioche, hazelnut, and more complex spices. Beyond that, tertiary nuances may appear (delicate undergrowth, black tea, a hint of truffle), with the effervescence becoming creamier and the texture silkier, while retaining the fresh structure characteristic of the Gosset style.
Serve between 40 and 50°F in a tulip glass to appreciate both its aromatic complexity and freshness. Decanting is not recommended: its subtle balance is best expressed immediately after opening.
Jean-Pierre Mareigner, Gosset's cellar master for over thirty years, chose to "let this cuvée sleep" for fifteen years. In doing so, he wanted to share an experience usually reserved for a select few: that of a wine suspended in time, patiently revealing the full depth of the Gosset style.
The price of the 15-year-old vintage from Cave Gosset is $ 149,95 €. This price reflects its exceptional aging and rarity, which make it a champagne sought after by discerning connoisseurs.
