Les Vaudayants Rosé Grand Cru No. 22 from Champagne Georges Remy is a highly precise natural rosé champagne, made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes grown in the Les Vaudayants vineyard in Bouzy. A limited-production cuvée (1,306 bottles), it offers a salty energy, chiseled red fruit, and a silky texture.
The cuvée is made exclusively from Pinot Noir. The rosé is obtained by blending white wines and a small amount of red wine (6%), designed to intensify the delicate color, reinforce the phenolic structure, and preserve a clean finish without weighing down the profile.
The Les Vaudayants vineyard is located in Bouzy (Grand Cru, Montagne de Reims) on chalky soils veined with clay. The chalk brings a structuring freshness and a salty finish, while the clay supports the maturity of the Pinot Noir and its fruity power without losing balance.
Fermentation in oak barrels for the white wine preserves the purity of the fruit while adding a subtle patina, while the vinification of the red wine in vats refines its straightforwardness and relief.
Malolactic fermentation is carried out to soften the acidity and integrate the noble bitter notes. After blending, the second fermentation precedes prolonged aging on lees in the cellar. No dosage is added after disgorging in order to deliver a pure and direct expression of Pinot Noir.
A sunny and consistent year, 2022 offered uniform ripeness and naturally balanced acidity. In Bouzy, Pinot Noir displays bright fruit (raspberry, redcurrant), a clear chalky structure, and invigorating bitter notes that lengthen the finish. The small addition of red wine (6%) completes the wine's delicious tension.
The color of the "Les Vaudayants Rosé Grand Cru n°22" cuvée is a pale salmon pink with coral highlights. The bubbles are very fine, the mousse creamy, and the clarity remarkable: an elegant appearance that promises a precise palate.
On the nose, fresh raspberry, redcurrant, and citrus zest mingle with a touch of peony and a subtle spicy smokiness from the aging process. A chalky, clean, and iodine-like aroma structures the bouquet with great vigor.
On the palate, the attack is lively and caressing, with silky bubbles. The mid-palate offers red fruit flavors, supported by a chalky tension and citrusy bitterness. The finish is salty, long and precise, with no sweetness.
Serve between 10 and 11°C in a tulip glass or a white wine glass with a narrow rim. Aeration for a few minutes reveals the floral dimension and chalky touch without dampening the energy of the Brut Nature.
Store bottles horizontally at 10–12°C, away from light and vibrations. The cuvée evolves harmoniously over 8 to 12 years, gaining spicy nuances and saline depth while retaining its sparkle.

20252028The price of Champagne Les Vaudayants Rosé Grand Cru No. 22 Georges Rémy is 71,95 €. This reflects the rarity of this single-vineyard cuvée, of which only 970 bottles were produced.
The color comes from blending a white base of Pinot Noir with approximately 4% red wine from the same grape variety. This small proportion intensifies the color and adds a phenolic structure that lengthens the finish.
Tasters praise its fine bubbles, distinct red fruit flavors, and chalky finish with no residual sugar. The rosé is considered invigorating, flavorful, and gastronomic. Opinions on the Les Vaudayants Rosé Grand Cru No. 22 Georges Remy vintage
The cuvée is a Brut Nature (0 g/L). The absence of dosage accentuates the terroir, highlights the chalky tension, and guarantees a dry, precise, and vibrant mouthfeel.
The white portion is vinified in barrels to gain texture and spicy complexity, while the red portion is vinified in vats to preserve integrity and freshness. Indigenous yeasts, malolactic fermentation, and aging on lees before disgorging.
Ready to drink now for its bright fruitiness, it will gain depth over the next 8–12 years. Serve at 10–11°C in a tulip glass, after a brief aeration, to reveal its minerality and salty texture.
