The 2020 Les Muits vintage from Georges Remy is an exceptional Blanc de Blancs, offering a generous and complex aromatic profile. This champagne is perfect as an aperitif but reveals its full potential when paired with food.
The production of Georges Remy's Les Muits 2020 champagne
The 2020 Les Muits cuvée comes from a single plot, "Les Muits," located in the Premier Cru terroir of Tauxières, in the heart of the Montagne de Reims. This plot, planted with Chardonnay in 1985, is organically farmed. It gives the wine great purity and remarkable minerality.
Vinification and aging take place in second-, third-, and fourth-use oak barrels to preserve the subtle balance between freshness and complexity. After 10 months of aging in barrels, the wine rests in the cellar for 36 months on its fine lees, developing depth and great finesse. Unfiltered and with no dosage (0 g/L), this natural champagne expresses all the richness of its terroir.
