Pure, elegant, and complex, Franck Bonville's Les Belles Voyes 2017 champagne cuvée exquisitely expresses all the finesse of the Grand Cru d'Oger terroir. Made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, this cuvée reveals an aromatic richness supported by oak barrel aging, giving it a unique depth and beautiful minerality.
This cuvée is made from a historic plot planted in 1960 on the hillside of Oger, a terroir renowned for its consistent ripeness and exceptional quality. Perfectly balanced, it is ideal as an aperitif or with gourmet dishes.
This cuvée is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes from the Les Belles Voyes d'Oger plot, classified as Grand Cru and covering an area of 0.80 hectares. The grapes, harvested at optimal ripeness, are vinified and aged in Burgundy barrels, with an average age of 5 years. This choice brings complexity and roundness to the wine.
The 2017 vintage benefited from a balanced climate that promoted consistent ripeness and good concentration in the grapes. This year is characterized by fresh, mineral wines, to which barrel aging brings richness and aromatic complexity, the hallmarks of a great vintage.
The Les Belles Voyes plot, located halfway up the hillside on Oger Grand Cru, benefits from limestone-rich soil and ideal exposure. This terroir brings structure, freshness, and a delicate minerality that characterize the cuvée.
After vinification, the wine is aged in oak barrels for several months, allowing it to develop complex aromas and a round texture. It is then bottled for a further period of aging to perfect its balance.
Bright, light yellow color with fine, persistent bubbles.
An intense and complex nose with intertwining notes of ripe white fruit, white flowers, and a subtle hint of oak and toast from barrel aging.
Full-bodied and elegant on the palate, revealing a beautiful chalky minerality, a pleasant roundness, and a long, fresh, and salty finish.
Store the bottle horizontally in a cool, dark, stable place between 10 and 12°C. Avoid vibrations, light, and temperature fluctuations to preserve the wine's aromatic finesse and freshness.
This cuvée can be enjoyed now or kept for up to 7 to 8 years to allow the aromas to develop and the texture to refine.
Serve between 8 and 10°C in a tulip glass or a thin flute. Allow to breathe slightly to fully release the aromatic richness and finesse of the bubbles.
