Les Valnons 2012 Fabrice Pouillon is a Blanc de Blancs Champagne (100% Chardonnay) made from a single vineyard located on the Aÿ terroir, one of the few Champagne terroirs classified as Grand Cru.
It's a totally atypical cuvée, since the Aÿ terroir is renowned for its Pinots Noirs, and almost no Chardonnay is found there.
Les Valnons 2012 is an intense, full-bodied, slightly vinous Champagne with a beautiful aromatic palette.
It is a champagne aged in oak barrels to offer a touch of roundness and develop the aromatic richness of Chardonnay.
Dosed very lightly (2g/l), Les Valnons 2012 is a generous, full-bodied Champagne, with good volume on the palate.
