The champagne house R. Pouillon was founded in the côteaux de Mutigny in 1947 by Roger Pouillon. Over the years their vineyards have extended across other terroirs, up to the Côte des Blancs. It is currently Roger’s grandson, Fabrice, together with his wife Elodie, who manage the vineyards inherited from their two families. They produce champagnes of great maturity, notably the 2Xoz range, created from grapes of exceptional ripeness and made exclusively with the grapes’ own natural sugars. The cuvee Nature de Mareuil, from the parcel known as Les Blanchiens, is one of the most sought after champagnes.
