Fabrice Pouillon has chosen Pinot Noirs from a singular parcel in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, a parcel located on the banks of the Marne, whose soil is an island of chalk.
The result is Pinot Noirs that are both taut and lively with chalk, but the presence of the Marne creates a microclimate that gives them a beautiful ripeness.
Vinified and aged in oak barrels, Le Montgruguet Fabrice Pouillon is a champagne with a brilliant golden color.
On the nose, it reveals notes of plum, mirabelle plum and tangerine, followed by a more gourmand touch on the second nose.
On the palate, this is a very delicate cuvée, with a silky, elegant feel and fine bubbles. On the mid-palate, a fine mineral presence carries the wine through.
A very pretty cuvée!
