Cuvée Chemin du Bois 2008 is an exceptionally generous Blanc de Noirs. Made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes, this premier cru comes from the commune of Mareuil sur Aÿ.
The 2008 vintage is one of the finest in Champagne in recent years. A mild, rainy winter was followed by a mild spring and, above all, a beautiful month of September, producing superb grapes at harvest time. The Pinots Noirs stand out for their fruitiness and vinosity.
Vinified with indigenous yeasts, the Chemin du Bois cuvée is aged in young barrels.
Nose and palate are in perfect harmony. Delicious aromas of mirabelle plum tart, butter and vanilla are counterbalanced by a floral touch (lime blossom). Ample and flavorful, the finish is marked by a subtle hint of acidity.
