La Côte Glacière 2012 | Bottle 75cl - Presentation pack

The 2012 La Côte Glacière cuvée is the new iteration of the Hommage à William Deutz cuvée, inaugurated in 2010. The cellar master of the Deutz house, Michel Davesne, decided to vinify separately the two plots used for this cuvée. This is how La Côte Glacière and Les Meurtets were born. Two vintages bearing the name of the plot from which they come, two Pinot Noir plots located in Aÿ.

      Description

The 2012 La Côte Glacière cuvée is the new iteration of the Hommage à William Deutz cuvée, inaugurated in 2010. The cellar master of the Deutz house, Michel Davesne, decided to vinify separately the two plots used for this cuvée. This is how La Côte Glacière and Les Meurtets were born. Two vintages bearing the name of the plot from which they come, two Pinot Noir plots located in Aÿ.

The Côte Glacière is planted with Pinots aged 48 years on average, it is a plot with a steep slope, ideally exposed, thus giving generous grapes.

This Blanc de Noirs was vinified in vats, then dosed in Brut before developing beautiful aromas in the cellar for almost 7 years. It is an opulent and generous cuvée.

On the nose, this is a cuvée that reveals beautiful aromas of ripe fruit, then after a few moments, more gourmet notes of almond and honey.

At the tasting, the La Côte Glacière 2012 Deutz cuvée expresses all the nobility of its terroir. It is a generous champagne, underlined by a nice balance between freshness and complexity. After a frank attack, the wine expresses beautiful fruity aromas.

The finish, greedy and distinguished, continues on a fine iodine note, typical of the slopes from which this wine comes.
