The production of Deutz Brut Rosé Millésimé 2018
This cuvée is mainly composed of 78% Pinot Noir, from prestigious terroirs such as Aÿ, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, Bouzy, Ambonnay, and Tauxières-Mutry. The Pinot Noir is blended with 22% Chardonnay from the Grands Crus of Avize and Bergères-lès-Vertus. This blend gives the cuvée a very balanced freshness and structure.
Finally, 4% red wine, made by the Cellar Master from vineyards in the Côte d'Aÿ, such as "Pierre Robert," "La Pelle," "La loge aux Vigniers," and "Les Cumaines" in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, is added to the blend. This addition gives the wine its magnificent color and unique aromatic signature.
The 2018 vintage was marked by ideal weather conditions, with a particularly rainy winter followed by a warm and sunny spring. The harvest, which began on August 20, revealed perfectly healthy grapes, rich in aromas and promising a great vintage. Vinification and aging brought out the richness of aromas and the freshness characteristic of this vintage. Precise dosing adds a balanced finishing touch.
