Deutz's Blanc de Blancs 2013 is a remarkably fine champagne, a cuvée evocative of white flowers that will find its place as an aperitif, but also as an accompaniment to white fish or shellfish.
This cuvée is made from Chardonnay grapes from the finest terroirs of the Côte des Blancs (Oger, Avize, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger...), the Montagne de Reims (Villers-Marmery) and the Vallée de la Marne (Epernay). Deutz Blanc de Blancs 2013 is vinified and aged in stainless steel tanks to retain maximum freshness.
It's a cuvée that brings out the great minerality and freshness of Chardonnay and Champagne terroirs.
This cuvée has a pale gold color with green and silver highlights. Its bubbles are fine and regular.
On the nose, this champagne offers beautiful notes of white flowers, then after a few moments, evolves towards a more gourmand olfactory signature. We find notes of yellow fruit, and a subtle hint of menthol.
On the palate, Deutz Blanc de Blancs 2013 has a clean, fresh attack. The wine's texture is smooth and mineral at the same time. The elegant chalky soils of the Côte des Blancs complement the broader shoulders of the Montagne de Reims chardonnays.
The finish is intense and persistent.
This is a cuvée with magnificent ageing potential.
