Deutz's Blanc de Blancs 2017 is both lively and harmonious. A very pure, intense champagne.
This champagne is a blend of Chardonnay from Côte des Blancs Grand Cru terroirs such as Avize (44%), Le Mesnil-sur-Oger (15%), Oger (20%), Cramant and Chouilly (8%), but also from other fine terroirs in the Montagne de Reims and Vallée de la Marne with Villers-Mamery and Trépail (5%).
This cuvée is vinified and aged in stainless steel tanks to preserve maximum freshness.
The color is limpid, slightly tinged with green-silver reflections, and the effervescence is fine and regular.
The nose reveals complex floral aromas of hawthorn and pleasant notes of pear, kumquat, verbena, pomelo and white flowers, supported by a subtle menthol note.
On the palate, it reveals superb smoothness, with accents of flowers such as honeysuckle combined with pretty notes of peach and citrus. The finish is subtle and long-lasting.
This is a cuvée with magnificent ageing potential.
This Blanc de Blancs 2017 from Maison Deutz will be perfect as an aperitif, but its rich structure will also allow it to accompany fish such as grilled sea bass or Saint-Pierre, as well as scallop tartar, roasted langoustines or sea bream ceviche...
