Description

The Cuvée Amour de Deutz 2011 is a superb Blanc de Blancs champagne that evokes beautiful fruity notes, and the relative youth of the vintage highlights its great potential for evolution and ageing.

2011 was a year of contrasts, with alternating rain, cool weather and hot spells from the end of May onwards. The key to this year's success was undoubtedly yield control, precise viticulture and careful harvesting. The 2011 vintage expresses finesse rather than power.

This exceptional champagne is made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes from the great terroirs of Avize (50%), Mesnil-sur-Oger (15%), Oger (12%), Villeneuve (11%), Vertus (6%) and Villers-Marmery (6%). Vat-ageing gives it freshness and vivacity, balancing the richness of the grapes.

Bottles benefit from prolonged aging in the Maison's cellars, guaranteeing the slow ripening of aromas and the development of the wine's length and complexity.

This cuvée has a beautiful crystalline gold color, delicately sprinkled with a subtle cordon of foam and a creamy effervescence.

The nose reveals a rich, complex intensity, with deep stone-fruit aromas of apricot, peach and William pear, accompanied by lovely notes of freshly cut herbs.

On the palate, the attack is lively and ample, then the wine wraps the palate in velvety lace, enhanced by a beautiful aromatic persistence. The same aromas as on the nose are present, supported by a smooth finish with a hint of fresh butter.

L'Amour de Deutz 20101 is an exceptional aperitif champagne, and will also go perfectly with caviar, sushi, sashimi, tuna carpaccio, lobster, or any other dish offering complex textures and aromatic components.
