Deutz Brut 2008 is a superb interpretation of a great Champagne vintage.
It's a blend of 63% Pinot Noir from the terroirs of Bouzy, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, Verzenay, Aÿ, Ambonnay... 33% Chardonnay from Avize, Villers-Marmery and Trépail and 4% Pinot Meunier from Pierry.
Deutz Brut 2008 has a shimmering blond color and a particularly fine, abundant effervescence.
On the nose, this great vintage develops elegant aromas of flowers and crisp white peaches. The bouquet of primary aromas is happily enhanced by delicate notes of honey, witness to a benevolent, protective and gratifying sun.
On the palate, the attack is lively and precise. The sensation of balance, purity and perfect harmony of the wine's flavors and texture is rare. In perfect harmony with the nose and the first taste sensation, the development on the palate is both invigorating and full-bodied. Beautiful, unctuous fruit aromas line the palate.
The finish is in unison: perfectly balanced between voluptuousness and minerality. Two criteria that attest to the wine's great ageing potential.
Deutz Brut Millésimé 2008 is a wine whose strong presence and perfect elegance make it just as enjoyable as an aperitif as it is as an accompaniment to tasty dishes: sushi, sashimi, crab flans, fine fish ... even in sauce ... risottos with white truffles, or even some white meats: veal with cream or poultry puff pastry with lemongrass.
