Cuvée Amour de Deutz Rosé 2008 is a brut champagne made from Pinot Noir (64%) and Chardonnay (36%). This rosé blend has been completed by a grand vin of PInot Noir (9%) from old vines in Aÿ and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ.
An exceptional aperitif, this cuvée goes wonderfully well with fish such as red mullet or Saint Pierre, or with beef carpaccio.
The 2008 vintage is one of the finest in Champagne in recent years. A mild, rainy winter was followed by a mild spring and, above all, a beautiful month of September, producing superb grapes at harvest time. The Chardonnays are lively and fine, with a beautiful minerality, while the Pinots Noirs stand out for their fruitiness and vinosity.
The wine's delicate pink-gold color is enlivened by a lively effervescence.
The nose is dominated by red fruit aromas. Raspberry, strawberry and redcurrant combine to deliver a sumptuous perfume with vanilla notes.
The palate is reminiscent of the gourmet fragrances found on the nose. The balance between power and delicacy is perfect.
The 2008 Champagne vintage produced lively, fresh wines with excellent ageing potential.
