Delamotte's Blanc de Blancs 2008 is an exceptional cuvée in many respects. The 2008 vintage is considered one of the greatest of the last 20 years. Add to this all the expertise of Didier Depond, Cellar Master at Delamotte and Salon, and you have an immense cuvée.
A blend of Chardonnay from the terroirs of Mesnil-sur-Oger for purity and minerality, Avize for balance and structure, Oger for generosity and fruit, Cramant for a smoky touch, Chouilly for length, and finally Oiry for roundness, Delamotte's Blanc de Blancs 2008 is insanely complex.
Aging on lees for 9 years adds the necessary patina to make this a supremely elegant cuvée.
