The Henri III cuvée is a true icon of the R.H. Coutier estate. With its delicious pastry aromas and generous structure, this Extra-Brut 100% Pinot Noir champagne is the ideal accompaniment to your meals. Complex and elegant, this champagne will appeal to connoisseurs looking for a champagne with character.
Cuvée Henri III is made exclusively from Pinot Noir, the emblematic grape variety of the Ambonnay terroir, classified as Grand Cru. This blend combines 60% of the 2015 harvest and 40% of the 2014 harvest, the latter having benefited from a year's aging in oak barrels. Malolactic fermentation is deliberately avoided in order to preserve a vibrant freshness. The champagne is aged on its lees in the bottle for at least eight years, with production limited to 3,000 bottles. With a precise dosage of 4 g/l, this Extra-Brut cuvée expresses the quintessence of Pinot Noir in all its richness and balance.
Created in 1995 by René Coutier, the Henri III cuvée reflects a unique philosophy: to offer a champagne for meals that combines power and finesse. This style is characterized by the pure expression of Pinot Noir, enhanced by controlled aging and long maturation.
The Henri III cuvée has a golden color with bright highlights. It is enhanced by a fine and persistent effervescence.
The nose is complex. It opens with toasted notes and pastry aromas (brioche, raisin bread), then develops into notes of stewed white fruits such as apple, pear, and plum.
The palate is fresh and powerful, offering great aromatic complexity. Notes of oak, toast and stewed fruit unfold in a creamy, smooth texture. The long, balanced finish is supported by refreshing acidity that brings a lovely freshness.
The price of a bottle of Henri III R.H. Coutier is 58,95 €. This price reflects the rarity and complexity of this cuvée, of which only 3,000 bottles are produced. The care taken at every stage of its production, from the selection of the grapes to the meticulous aging, guarantees exceptional quality.
Connoisseurs particularly appreciate the smooth texture and great aromatic complexity of this cuvée. Its freshness and long finish make it an essential choice to accompany gourmet meals. Discover what others have said: Reviews of the Henri III R.H. Coutier cuvée.
To preserve its rich aromas and finesse, store the bottle in a cool, dark place at a constant temperature of 42°F (10-14°C). Thanks to its long aging and structure, this champagne can be stored until 2030, gaining complexity as it ages.
