The Blanc de Blancs cuvée is a tribute to the terroir of Ambonnay, one of the few villages classified as Grand Cru where Chardonnay can express itself with such power. This champagne is made from Chardonnay from the 2020 harvest, complemented by 50% reserve wines, which add a touch of richness and aromatic complexity.
The vinification is carried out with care, combining oak barrels and stainless steel vats. After bottling, the cuvée spends at least two years in the cellars of the house to develop its aromas. The dosage of 5 g/L preserves the balance between freshness and roundness.
The Blanc de Blancs cuvée has a pale yellow color with golden highlights, complemented by fine, delicate bubbles.
The nose offers elegant intensity, marked by aromas of cooked pineapple, citrus zest and a hint of brioche, revealing beautiful complexity.
On the palate, the attack is silky and fresh, supported by citrus zest flavors. The finish is long, with finesse and minerality.
The price of a bottle of Blanc de Blancs R.H. Coutier is 41,95 €. This Grand Cru champagne, produced in a limited edition of only 8,000 bottles, is a superb demonstration of what Chardonnays from the Montagne de Reims can be.
