The Rosé A05 Grand Cru produced by Christian Gosset is a balanced rosé champagne with a distinctive aromatic personality.
Christian Gosset is a young winemaker aged 55! After 35 years of experience gained on the family estate, he decided to strike out on his own and create his own champagnes.
Rosé A05 Grand Cru is a blend of 82% Pinot Noir from the Grand Cru terroir of Aÿ in the Marne Valley and 18% Chardonnay from the Grand Cru terroir of Chouilly in the Côte des Blancs.
The wine is vinified in enamel vats, with as few additives as possible and without filtration. 7% of red wine from Aÿ, vinified in oak barrels, is added to the blend to obtain this rosé champagne. The wine is very lightly dosed to subtly highlight the aromatic palette without masking it.
This cuvée has a raspberry pink color with coppery highlights.
The nose reveals aromas of red fruit, crème fraîche, and marshmallow, opening up to slightly smoky and candied notes.
On the palate, the attack is tender and the freshness of the cuvée is highlighted by the presence of light tannins. The texture is creamy and silky.
With Christian Gosset's Rosé A05 Grand Cru, you can seek out a balance of flavors and tender textures, such as veal ravioli, langoustine bisque with coriander, or a mildly spiced broth.
