A faithful expression of the year 2006, Champagne Castelnau's Brut Millésimé 2006 embodies the elegance and aromatic richness of the great Champagne vintages. After lengthy aging in the cellar, this cuvée reveals a fascinating complexity combining toasted notes, hints of mint, and citrus nuances.
A balanced blend for a mature expression
Brut Millésimé 2006 is the result of a rigorous selection of the best grapes from the emblematic terroirs of Champagne, notably the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs, which bring finesse and complexity to the blend:
- 50% Chardonnay, grown mainly on the Côte des Blancs, which brings brightness, freshness and beautiful amplitude.
- 30% Pinot Noir, from the Montagne de Reims terroirs, which gives structure and aromatic depth.
- 20% Meunier, selected from the Vallée de la Marne, which brings roundness and richness.
This cuvée benefits from long aging in the cellar, allowing the aromas to refine and the texture to become more creamy. Its dosage of 6 g/L perfectly balances the liveliness and generosity of the vintage.
