Elegant and committed, Champagne Canard-Duchêne's P181 cuvée embodies the House's pioneering spirit in organic viticulture. Partly sourced from a plot certified organic since 2009, this Extra-Brut cuvée expresses with purity the richness of the Champagne terroir and the House's expertise.
The P181 cuvée takes its name from the ZE 181 plot, located in Verneuil, one of the few organic vineyards in Champagne since 2009. On this 9-hectare plot, the vines are cultivated with respect for the soil and the plant, according to the principles of organic farming. This cuvée highlights the diversity of Champagne grape varieties in a balanced blend:
The cuvée is based on a blend that includes 30% reserve wines, which enrich the blend and ensure its complexity. The wine is aged for three years in the cellar before disgorging, with a dosage of 4 g/L to preserve the purity of the fruit.
The P181 has a bright pale gold color with a fine, persistent effervescence.
The nose is expressive and charming, dominated by yellow and white fruits such as lychee, peach, and pear. A touchof green almond and a hint of smoke add an extra dimension.
On the palate, the attack is lively and invigorating. The fruity freshness of apple and pear returns, with a tighter finish marked by an elegant bitterness that lingers on the palate.
The price of a bottle of Champagne P181 is 39,95 €. It reflects the quality of an organic champagne that is precise and authentic, pure, structured, and aromatic.
Committed champagne lovers praise this cuvée for its precision, freshness, and natural aromatic expression. It seduces with its mineral dimension and vitality on the palate. Read reviews of the P181 cuvée.
