      Description

Intense, elegant, and distinguished, Bollinger's PN TX20 cuvée is a unique celebration of Pinot Noir, the House's signature grape variety. This cuvée offers a bold and refined interpretation of the terroir, embodying all the depth and complexity of Pinot Noir from the Tauxières terroir.

Made exclusively from Pinot Noir, this TX20 edition combines young wines and reserve wines, mainly from the Tauxières cru, complemented by parcels from Aÿ and Avenay. It offers a rich and powerful expression, while remaining faithful to Bollinger's unique style.

The production of Bollinger's PN TX20 cuvée

PN TX20 is made from Pinot Noir grapes sourced mainly from the village of Tauxières, complemented by wines from the Aÿ and Avenay terroirs. The blend comprises 48% wine from 2020 and 52% reserve wines, including some older vintages. The 2008 and 2012 harvests account for more than 25% of the blend.

Only the cuvée, the first pressing, is used to guarantee the purity and finesse of the aromas. Maturation in the cellar takes place over a period more than twice as long as required by regulations, ensuring complexity and elegance. The dosage is moderate, at 8 g/L.

      The 2020 harvest

The year 2020 saw challenging conditions that enhanced the aromatic concentration of the Pinot Noir. Rigorous selection of the grapes resulted in a balanced cuvée, combining freshness, depth, and maturity.

      The terroir

The terroir of Tauxières, a major cru in the Montagne de Reims, as well as the terroirs of Aÿ and Avenay, bring a mineral richness and structure typical of Champagne Pinot Noir. The limestone soils and optimal exposure promote perfect ripening.

      Aging

Prolonged aging in the cellar, more than twice the length required by the appellation rules, gives the wine a complex texture, beautiful depth, and a fine, persistent effervescence.
