The Les Aventures Grand Cru ed. n°6 cuvée from Maison AR Lenoble is an exceptional creation, described as "Atypical and Bold." Presented in an elegant box, this Blanc de Blancs comes from a single plot located on the legendary terroir of Chouilly. Meticulously crafted from a selection of wines from the finest harvests (2012, 2009, 2008), this cuvée offers rare aging potential. It is a champagne for haute cuisine, with complex maturity and a structured texture, the result of more than 10 years of aging in the cellar.
This champagne is 100% Chardonnay, a pure reflection of the Côte des Blancs terroir. The blend for edition n°6 is a skilful composition of three remarkable vintages with complementary characteristics: 65% from the 2012 harvest, 20% from the 2009 harvest and 15% from the 2008 harvest. This multi-vintage structure gives the wine immediate depth and complexity.
The grapes come exclusively from the "Les Aventures" vineyard, a specific plot located on the Grand Cru de Chouilly. This exceptional terroir is renowned for producing Chardonnays that combine aromatic richness and elegance.
Vinification is carried out in both vats and 228-liter barrels, bringing richness and patina to the wine. Time is an essential factor for this prestigious cuvée: it is aged on lees for over 10 years in the Maison's cellars. The dosage is Extra-Brut, very low at 2 g/L, to allow the wine's tertiary maturity to express itself without artifice.
Edition No. 6 is not a single vintage but a "collection" of great years. The majority base of 2012 (65%) provides structure and balance, supported by the sunny richness of 2009 (20%) and the vibrant tension of 2008 (15%). This combination achieves a superior aromatic dimension that would be impossible to obtain with a single year.
The color reveals a brilliant gold with deep reflections, reflecting its long aging. The effervescence is of superlative finesse, forming a creamy and persistent mousse.
Floral aromas have given way to mature aromatics. The profile evolves towards roasted notes with hints of saffron, dominated by truffle, mocha, and praline.
The palate is invigorating and structured. The spicy profile of the nose is reflected here, with pronounced flavorsof sweet spices and blond tobacco. The finish is refreshing, marked bycitrus peel notes.
Protected by its box, this bottle should be stored lying down in a cool (10-12°C), dark cellar. It is a wine with a long shelf life that has already spent 10 years on lees, giving it great stability.
Les Aventures ed. n°6 has rare aging potential. Its drinking window extends over many years:
Serve this great wine at a temperature of 10 to 12°C. A large white wine glass is essential to allow the tertiary aromas (truffle, praline) to fully develop.
The name "Les Aventures" refers to a specific 0.5-hectare plot located in Chouilly. Its name perhaps evokes the viticultural challenges it may have posed in the past, or the sensory adventure it promises today. It is one of the few single-vineyard champagnes that is not vintage but multi-vintage, in order to retain only the best of several exceptional years.
