The Les Années cuvée from Adrien Renoir Champagne is an exceptional cuvée born from a family solera system initiated in 2013 by Adrien's father. This rare method in Champagne consists of enriching the existing base each year with new harvests, thus creating a harmonious continuity between vintages. The wines from 2013 to 2019 now make up this cuvée, a true memory of the estate. This Blanc de Noirs Grand Cru expresses both the depth of time and the purity of the Verzy terroir.
The Les Années cuvée is a 100% Pinot Noir Blanc de Noirs, from the Grand Cru terroir of Verzy on the Montagne de Reims. This single-varietal choice embodies Adrien Renoir's vision: to reveal the nobility and tension of Pinot Noir through a patient, plot-by-plot approach. The blend is based on a solera system initiated in 2013 and replenished each year until the 2019 harvest, offering rare complexity and a deeply integrated texture.
Located on the chalky slopes of the Grand Cru village of Verzy, the vineyard benefits from predominantly chalky and clay-limestone soil, which gives the wine a vibrant minerality and saline energy. The altitude and exposure favor slow ripening, ensuring natural freshness and refined aromatics. This emblematic terroir of the Montagne de Reims, cultivated using sustainable viticulture methods, is the key to the balance between power and finesse.
Vinification and aging take place entirely in oak barrels. Prolonged aging on lees accentuates the aromatic richness and density on the palate. The Extra Brut dosage (0.8 g/L) highlights the precision of Pinot Noir and the purity of the terroir, without artifice.
Inspired by the great reserve wines, Adrien Renoir's solera is a living work of art: each new harvest nourishes the previous one, bringing freshness, tension, and complexity. This system, unique in Champagne, produces a wine that is both mature and dynamic, where aromatic depth meets striking energy.
Pale gold color with silvery highlights, enlivened by fine, regular bubbles, a sign of long aging on lees and great maturity.
The nose unfolds with a complex palette combining ripe pear, mirabelle plum, and white peach, enriched with notesof toasted almonds, light honey, and toasted bread. Floral and chalky touches recall the origins of the Verzy terroir.
On the palate, the attack is lively and precise. The wine then expands with a silky, enveloping texture, carried by a chalky minerality and a persistent salinity. Flavors of yellow fruit, candied citrus, and brioche harmonize with a long, straight tension. The finish, salty and pure, is the hallmark of a champagne of very high expression.
Serve between 10 and 11°C in a white wine glass or slender tulip glass. A short aeration allows the toasted nuances and hints of honey from the solera to be revealed.
Store bottles horizontally in a cellar at a temperature of 10 to 12°C. This cuvée can be kept for 10 to 15 years, gradually developing aromas of dried fruit, hazelnut, and undergrowth.
