      Description

The production of Rosé A. Bergère

The blend of this cuvée is atypical for a rosé, with Chardonnay accounting for 90% of the blend . This predominance of white grapes gives the wine its energy and tension. The color and aromas of red fruits are provided by the addition of 10% Pinot Noir vinified as red wine (Coteaux Champenois). This blending method combines the straightforwardness of Chardonnay with the richness of Pinot Noir, creating a subtle harmony between freshness and fruitiness.

      The Terroir

The grapes come from the terroirs of Fèrebrianges, Etoges, and Congy, located in the Petit Morin Valley. This area is characterized by mixed soils composed of clay and chalk. The clay brings roundness and body to the wine, while the chalk provides the minerality and finesse necessary for the production of an elegant champagne.

      Vinification

Maison A. Bergère favors a vinification process that respects the identity of the fruit. This cuvée benefits from careful production aimed at preserving its aromatic purity. The dosage is 7 g/l, a classic Brut balance that envelops the wine's mellow texture while maintaining a fresh and digestible finish.

      Tasting the cuvée

      • Color

The color is a delicate salmon pink. The effervescence is fine and forms a regular cordon on the surface.

      • Nose

The nose is delicious and expressive, revealing clear aromas of strawberry and raspberry. The dominance of Chardonnay brings subtle floral and citrus notes that add complexity to the bouquet.

      • Palate

On the palate, the wine envelops the palate with a mellow and silky texture. The attack is rich, quickly followed by a beautiful liveliness that stretches the wine. The finish is fresh, pleasantly prolonging the notes of red berries.

      Storage and serving tips

      How to store this champagne?

To preserve the freshness of its red fruit aromas, store this bottle horizontally, away from light and in a cool environment (40-54°F). Rosé wines are sensitive to oxidation and light, so careful storage is recommended.

      Aging potential

This Rosé A. Bergère is designed to be enjoyed in its youth, for its fruitiness and liveliness. It is best enjoyed within 2 to 3 years of purchase.

      Serving suggestions

Serve this champagne chilled, between 8 and 10°C, to accentuate its liveliness. A tulip flute or white wine glass will allow you to appreciate the delicacy of its raspberry aromas.

      Anecdote about this cuvée

The House of A. Bergère is renowned for its mastery of Chardonnay, the flagship grape variety of the Côte des Blancs. It is rare to find a Rosé champagne made from 90% Chardonnay. This bold blend is the signature of the House: favoring finesse and floral elegance over powerful vinosity, creating a "blanc de blancs" rosé colored with a touch of red.
