Description
The Garance cuvée is Alain Thiénot's tribute to his daughter. "It is an elegant, complex and powerful wine that follows in the footsteps of the House's great champagnes." Garance Thiénot.
2012 was a rich, intense vintage with beautiful aromatic power. It produced grapes combining great aromatic maturity and beautiful tension.
This cuvée is a Blanc de Noirs composed of Pinot Noir (90%) and Meunier (10%) from mainly the Montagne de Reims. After bottling, the bottles are aged for nine years in the House's cellars on Rue des Moissons in Reims.
The wine reveals itself with a beautiful intense golden color.
The nose is expressive and complex with notes of ripe yellow fruit, mirabelle plum and dried fruit.
The palate offers beautiful structure and a tense finish.
The 2012 Garance cuvée from Maison Thiénot is a brilliant accompaniment to spring lamb, 24-month-old Comté cheese or cherry tart.
