Exceptionally, Maison Thiénot has released the Alain Thiénot 1999 cuvée from its wine cellar, expressing the expertise and high standards of the house. Made from a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, it is only produced when the year offers an excellent vintage.
This champagne is a blend of 55% Chardonnay and 45% Pinot Noir from the Côte des Blancs and the Marne Valley.
Aged for over 20 years in the cellars of Maison Thiénot, this champagne has developed a superb aromatic palette, full of complexity. The wine is Extra-Brut to preserve all its personality.
The color is a magnificent golden hue with amber highlights.
The nose is powerful and evolved with roasted notes and delicate aromas of toasted hazelnuts, hay, fig, and dried apricot.
On the palate, the wine is balanced with delicate effervescence and exceptional length.
This refined and sophisticated Alain Thiénot 1999 cuvée pairs well with a long-aged cheese such as Taleggio from northern Italy.
