The Terre d'Irizée cuvée by Régis Poissinet is a full-bodied, fruity champagne with a silky texture. It is a champagne that will find its place as an aperitif, but also at the start of a meal.
The Terre d'Irizée cuvée is made from a large majority of Pinot Meunier, the flagship grape variety of the Marne Valley and its clay soils. Régis Poissinet has blended four different vintages (2016, 2015, 2014 and 2013) to create this cuvée. The 2016 vintage accounts for 61% of the blend, with the other three years adding depth and complexity to the cuvée.
The wine is aged partly in vats and partly in oak barrels. This cuvée is Extra Brut (1.7g per liter), a very low dosage that simply highlights the wine's contours.
Terre d'Irizée has a sparkling color, with very fine bubbles.
On the nose, this cuvée reveals notes of citrus, white peach, and a hint of honey.
On the palate, it is a vibrant champagne with a silky texture. Beautiful fruit notes and a slightly salty touch linger on the finish.
