Cuvée Irizée Chardonnay 2015 crafted by Régis Poissinet is an astonishing champagne that reveals beautiful complexity as well as lovely minerality.
This Blanc de Blancs has been crafted from Chardonnay grapes sourced from the clay-limestone and silt-limestone terroirs of the Marne Valley. The result is grapes that are both expressive and very fine.
Cuvée Irizée Chardonnay 2015 was vinified in oak barrels, then bottled under cork to spend 4 years in the house cellars developing its aromatic palette.
The 285 bottles produced were disgorged in November 2020 and dosed as Extra Brut (2.5g/L).
This champagne has a dazzling powdery-gold color, criss-crossed by lively, fine bubbles.
On the nose, Cuvée Irizée Chardonnay 2015 reveals lovely notes of citrus, spice and lightly woodý roasted coffeé.
On the palate, the attack is delicate, round but supported by lovely tension. The texture is creamy, delicate, superb, while the finish is marked by great mineralitý and lovely salinity.
