The L'Extravertie cuvée is a lively and expressive Blanc de Blancs champagne that is ideal as an aperitif.
To make this champagne, Antoine and Clément Bouret, two brothers who took over the family estate, blend grapes from their plots located in the Grand Cru terroirs of the Côte de Blancs. These include the famous villages of Cramant, Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger, Chouilly, and Oiry.
The Chardonnays are vinified and aged partly in stainless steel vats and partly in oak barrels.
After bottling, L'Extravertie spends 4 to 5 years in the cellars of the house to gain complexity. Its dosage is Extra Brut, simply highlighting the great minerality of the Côte des Blancs terroirs.
L'Extravertie by Pertois-Lebrun has a straw-gold color with silvery highlights. Its bubbles are fine, lively, and persistent.
The nose reveals beautiful citrus notes and a hint of wet chalk. The second nose reveals brioche and butter aromas.
The attack on the palate is supple, elegant and delicate. The citrus notes and mineral touch discovered on the nose return on the mid-palate.
The finish is tense, slightly iodized and lingers nicely.
