The RSRV Lalou 2008 cuvée is made from a blend of 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay. The grapes come from twelve carefully selected Grand Cru plots: seven located on the Montagne de Reims and five on the Côte des Blancs. These plots, among the oldest and best exposed, are emblematic of the exceptional quality of this champagne. After meticulous vinification, the cuvée is aged for over ten years in the house's historic cellars, developing remarkable aromatic complexity. The dosage is carefully controlled at 6 g/L, ensuring a perfect balance between freshness and roundness.
The year 2008 was marked by contrasting weather conditions, with a cold winter and heavy rainfall followed by an exceptionally sunny September. These conditions allowed the grapes to ripen slowly and evenly, resulting in a harvest of impeccable quality. This vintage, considered legendary in Champagne, is reflected in the depth and finesse of RSRV Lalou 2008.
