This cuvée is a blend of Pinot Noir (50%), Chardonnay (35%) and Meunier (15%) from the best Crus in Champagne. These grapes are selected from 100 crus, the majority of which are Grand and Premier Crus, for their precision and elegance.
The 2014 vintage predominates in the blend, complemented by 45% reserve wines, some aged for over 20 years and matured in large oak casks to bring consistency of style and aromatic depth.
To preserve its incomparable fruitiness and freshness, malolactic fermentation is not carried out. The bottles are aged for five years to develop complexity and vitality. After disgorging, the wine is dosed Brut at 7 g/L.
On the eye, this champagne is a deep yellow color with golden highlights and fine, persistent bubbles.
The nose reveals notes of biscuit, marzipan, honey and sweet spices, supported by a deep scent of licorice and fern.
On the palate, its full texture reveals intense fruitiness and fresh notes of citrus and chalk, highlighting the wine's density and vitality.
This Black Réserve cuvée from Maison Lanson is a sophisticated wine with great aromatic depth that is ideal as an aperitif but also makes a surprising accompaniment to steak tartare with fries or pumpkin caviar with chestnuts and Patanegra shavings.
