The Krug Rosé cuvée (29th Edition) is a unique champagne, striking a perfect balance between finesse and substance. Born from the House's nonconformist spirit in 1976, this bold rosé is a unique composition designed to replace a great red wine at the table. Presented in an elegant box, this 29th Edition, built around the 2017 harvest, combines the elegance of white wines with the spicy structure of macerated Pinot Noir grapes. It is a champagne for fine dining, offering an aromatic palette ranging from wild red fruits to pastry notes.
This edition is a complex blend of 29 wines from five different years. The heart of the cuvée is made up of the 2017 harvest, complemented by a selection of reserve wines (33% of the blend), the oldest of which dates back to 2010. The final blend gives pride of place to Pinot Noir (53%), supported by Chardonnay (28%) for elegance and Meunier (19%) for fruitiness.
The signature of Krug Rosé lies in the addition of 11% red wines (Pinot Noir macerated traditionally on the skins). For this 29th Edition, these red wines come from two specific plots: "Les Crayons" in Mutigny (2017 vintage) and "Côte Valnon" in Aÿ (2016 vintage). They provide the structure, color, and spicy notes essential to this champagne of character.
The color is a deep salmon, illuminated by characteristic coppery highlights.
The nose offers a festival of red fruits: raspberry salad, strawberries, and juicy cherries, underscored by elegant toasted notes.
The attack is rich, combining fruit with pastry notes of raspberry charlotte and ladyfingers. The palate evolves towards jammy flavors of prunes and blood orange. The finish is very fresh, marked by the elegance of citrus fruits and the noble bitterness of pink grapefruit.
This bottle, protected by its case, should be stored horizontally in a cool cellar away from light. Krug Rosé has excellent aging potential thanks to its fine tannic structure and the proportion of reserve wines.
To reveal its aromatic richness, serve Krug Rosé between 9°C and 12°C. Be careful not to serve it too cold, as this would inhibit the expression of its aromas. The experience is enhanced by using the "Joseph" glass or a large white wine glass, developed in partnership with Riedel for this unconventional champagne.

20252029The price of a bottle of Krug Rosé 29th Edition in a gift box is 395,95 €. This price reflects the complex blend of 29 wines and the prestige of the House of Krug.
Experts praise its balance between finesse and body, as well as its surprising notes of blood orange and biscuit. Discover detailed comments in the reviews section on Krug Rosé (29th edition).
11% of the blend comes from Pinot Noir grapes vinified as red wine, sourced from the "Les Crayons" vineyard in Mutigny (2017) and the "Côte Valnon" vineyard in Aÿ (2016).
It is recommended to serve this champagne between 9°C and 12°C. A temperature that is too low would prevent its aromatic richness from fully expressing itself.
No, it is not recommended with sweet desserts. However, it pairs perfectly with savory dishes or spicy foods, easily replacing red wine.
