      Description

Each year, Jacquesson produces a new iteration of its 7XX cuvée. A unique way of marrying the identity of a vintage with the style of the Jacquesson terroir.

2015 saw the birth of Cuvée 743. The 2015 vintage was marked by a mild, rainy winter and spring. The summer that followed was very dry until mid-August. In the end, the grapes were very well balanced, with excellent ripeness and acidity. As usual, this harvest was supplemented by a few reserve wines.

Cuvée 743 Jacquesson reflects the Jacquesson vineyard (terroirs of Aÿ, Dizy, Hautvillers, Avize and Oiry). It is a blend of 40% Chardonnay, and 60% Pinots (2/3 Pinot Noir and 1/3 Pinot Meunier). Cuvée 743 is vinified in old foudres and some demi-muids, with periods of batonnage. Malolactic fermentation is carried out, and the dosage is Extra Brut (1.5g/l).

Cuvée 743 Jacquesson reveals well-matured aromas, with notes of fruit and a greedier, milkier touch.

On the palate, the attack is very elegant, fresh but without excessive vivacity, followed by fruity notes and, above all, a beautiful minerality.

215,330 bottles, 10,013 magnums and 302 jeroboams of Cuvée 743 Jacquesson have been produced.
