Cuvée Partition 2012 by Jean-Marc Sélèque is a precision champagne.
Each year, to create this cuvée, Jean-Marc Sélèque selects 7 barrels, representing as many nuances and reflections of the Sélèque terroir. Seven barrels, like so many notes writing a score to interpret a unique vintage and year.
The following parcels are used to blend Partition: Vertus 1er Cru - La Justice planted in 1950 / Dizy 1er Cru - Moque-bouteille planted in 1985 / Epernay - Les Frileux planted in 1959 / Mardeuil - Les Basses Ronces planted in 1982 / Pierry 1er Cru - Les Tartières / Les Porgeons planted in 1990 and 1985 / Pierry 1er Cru - Les Gouttes d'Or planted in 1951 / Pierry 1er Cru - Les Gayères planted in 1975.
This 2012 vintage of Cuvée Partition features 72% Chardonnay, 14% Pinot Meunier and 14% Pinot Noir.
The champagne is fermented in oak barrels and then aged for 48 months in the Sélèque cellars.
J-M Sélèque's cuvée Partition 2012 benefits from a low dosage, around 2g/L, to let the champagne's aromas express themselves to the full.
