The Rosé from the house of Francis Boulard is a champagne made using the free-run technique, which demands much skill, and consists of allowing the grapes to macerate for a few hours to give color and additional aromas to the wine.
This operation must be carefully controlled as precise timing will determine its success or failure.
The Francis Boulard Rosé is the result of blending 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Pinot Meunier from vines of around 40 years old.
