The Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru 2004 from Billecart-Salmon is crafted from grapes grown on the noblest parcels of the Côte des Blancs, from a selection of terroirs in order to obtain the delicate balance necessary to express all the finesse and elegance of the Grand Cru Chardonnays from this champagne house.
This cuvee integrates the finesse of Chouilly with the power of the Avize vineyards and the structure and complexity of Mesnil-sur-Oger
The luminous gold robe of this Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru 2004 is starred with a myriad of fine and lively bubbles. This is a champagne which offers mineral and fruity notes, developing delightfully gourmand aromas of meringue and biscuit. Round and rich on the first palate, this superbly well-balanced cuvee evolving in a register of hazelnut and almond is powerful and vivid, in the image of its vintage. The finish extends lingeringly on majestic chalky notes.
The Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru 2004 Billecart-Salmon is a splendid aperitif champagne, and will also add enjoyment to a creamy seafood risotto or sweetbreads.
