The Terre cuvée produced by Marc Augustin is a champagne that embodies minerality and structure. This earth represents the maternal element, solid and stable. This Blanc de Noirs has an unusual degree of expression and individuality.
The world of Maison Augustin's cuvées was inspired by biodynamics and brought to life by Emmanuelle, Marc's wife. The identity, names, colors, and materials are all consistent with the philosophy of the House.
This cuvée is made from Pinot Noir grapes grown on 25- to 35-year-old vines located in Avenay Val d'Or, a premier cru terroir in the Montagne de Reims, characterized by its clay-limestone soils.
Both viticulture and vinification are carried out according to biodynamic principles, in harmony with the lunar phases, and the wines undergo controlled dynamization. Like the estate's other cuvées, the wine is unfiltered and the yeast is sourced from the previous year's lees, with no filtration.
This Terre cuvée is a vegetal, powerful and elegant champagne, characterized by a delicate bouquet, fine bubbles and a soft, velvety finish.
On the palate, it has lively acidity, beautiful minerality and notes of citrus, caramel, dried figs and a hint of coconut. This is a fruity champagne with a lovely bitterness and beautiful tension on the finish.
