The Les Vertus cuvée produced by Marc Augustin is a Blanc de Blancs champagne with no added sulfur or sugar.
The world of Maison Augustin's cuvées was inspired by biodynamics and brought to life by Emmanuelle, Marc's wife. The identity, names, colors, and materials are all consistent with the philosophy of the House.
This cuvée is made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes from Vertus, a Premier Cru terroir in the Côte des Blancs, characterized by clay-limestone soil.
Both viticulture and vinification are carried out according to biodynamic principles, in harmony with the lunar phases, and the wines undergo controlled dynamization. Like the estate's other wines, this wine is unfiltered and unfiltered, with yeast added from the previous year's lees.
After pressing, fermentation and aging on lees for 11 months take place spontaneously in terracotta amphorae.
This Les Vertus cuvée is very exclusive, with only 1,400 bottles produced.
