The Air cuvée created by Marc Augustin is a champagne that embodies this gentle, delicate element. Air gives life, yet remains elusive.
The world of Maison Augustin's cuvées was inspired by biodynamics and brought to life by Emmanuelle, Marc's wife. The identity, names, colors, and materials are all consistent with the philosophy of the House.
This cuvée is composed of 50% Pinot Noir from Avenay Val d'Or, a Premier Cru terroir in the Montagne de Reims, characterized by its clay-limestone soils, and 50% Chardonnay from Vertus, a Premier Cru in the Côte des Blancs, with clay-limestone soils.
Both viticulture and vinification are carried out according to biodynamic principles, in harmony with the lunar phases, and the wines undergo controlled dynamization. Like the estate's other cuvées, the wine is unfiltered and the yeast is sourced from the previous year's lees, with no filtration.
This Air cuvée is soft, delicate, and harmonious, with a finesse on the palate and a lightness that sharpens the taste buds.
