      Description

Les Peignottes is a cuvée from the Maison A. Bergère collection of single-vineyard wines, showcasing one of their flagship terroirs, Oger. Through his champagnes, Adrien Bergère aims to highlight the richness of the estate's terroirs. To do this, he selects the best vines producing wines with distinctive characteristics and identity, with the primary objective of allowing the wine to reveal its expression and freshness.

This superb Blanc de Blancs is made from Chardonnay grapes from the 2016 harvest, grown on old vines planted in 1920, 1975, and 1990 on the superb Grand Cru terroir of Oger, located in the Côte des Blancs. Maison A. Bergère is constantly striving to express the terroir to its fullest through viticulture that respects nature.

The 2016 vintage is one of contrasts in Champagne, with a mild, sunny autumn followed by a rainy, cool spring. Fortunately, a hot, dry summer allowed the grapes to reach beautiful maturity. The result is a vintage that combines tension and indulgence.

Vinification and aging on lees are carried out in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats and in 228-liter barrels. The wine is Extra-Brut at 4 g/L and is unfiltered to preserve all its qualities.

This single-vineyard cuvée, Les Peignottes, has a rich and intense nose with floral and fruity notes.

On the palate, the wine reveals a beautiful structure that expresses aromas of ripe white fruits, ending with a touch of noble bitterness, supported by a fresh finish.
