Following Brexit, deliveries to the United Kingdom are temporarily suspended. We continue to deliver all over Europe.

Solar for 250 years

In 2022, the House of Veuve Clicquot celebrated its 250th anniversary. 250 years of unique expertise, a culture of innovation and an iconic yellow that has graced its bottle labels since 1877. A contemporary interpretation of the brand's iconic yellow, "solaire depuis 250 ans" is an affirmation of the brand's identity.

The vineyards

Today, Veuve Clicquot owns one of the largest vineyards in the Champagne region in terms of surface area and quality: 390 hectares in 12 of the 17 Grand Crus and 20 of the 44 Premier Crus. This exceptional heritage has been built up over the centuries, from the founder's time on an earlier foundation, and then by the various directors of Veuve Clicquot.

The harvest

More than 50 plots representative of the entire Veuve Clicquot vineyard are analysed twice a week, for 4 to 5 weeks, in order to monitor development and ripeness. These checks give us a good idea of the analytical characteristics of the future harvest. Tasting the grapes has also become a key part of the ripeness checks. Each vineyard is checked before the harvest to determine the order in which the different plots of land should be picked.

Our environmental responsibilities

We are constantly vigilant at every stage, to ensure that the vines are worked with the utmost care, and that the production processes have the least possible impact in terms of consumption, emissions and waste.

Our drivers

Veuve Clicquot has been established in the Champagne region for more than 240 years, through its own vineyards and through supply contracts signed with Champagne growers who deliver grapes and clear wines.

On the strength of its history and dynamism, Veuve Clicquot continues to expand its supply base.

We can rely on our ancestral closeness to our delivery drivers: in fact, some families have been delivering their grapes to us for more than six generations and are very attached to this close relationship.

This development cannot be achieved without the help of a department dedicated to our partners. The "supply and vineyard relations" department, made up of around ten people working in the field, meets this need.

In 1999. Veuve Clicquot was the first company to set up a technical department dedicated to its grape deliverers. Naturally, today this team is working to implement sustainable Champagne viticulture with our partners. Relying on their passion and expertise, our technicians criss-cross the Champagne region to meet with winegrowers and take winegrowing to a new level of respect for our land, air and water.
